Journey Electric Meter Technician
Perform technical repair and installation of residential and commercial electric meters within a repair shop and in the field. Journey-level Electrical Meter Technician requiring advancement from the Apprentice Electric Meter Technician program typically requiring at least four years of formal education and training or significant external experience. Incumbent is expected to work independently and perform all functions at a competent level. Install, maintain, repair, and remove City electric metering and equipment for residential, commercial, industrial, and survey applications. Modify and create meter programs.
