The City of Pasadena is approximately ten miles northeast of downtown L.A. at the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, with a residential population of 144,000 and a daytime population of 250,000. Pasadena Water & Power Department (PWP) is a community-owned utility supplying water and electricity to Pasadena and nearby areas. The General Manager (GM) reports to the City Manager and is supported by 430 employees and a FY2025 budget exceeding $340 million.  The GM will drive the execution of an ambitious, multi-year work plan in progress, focusing on long term resource management and environmental protection while embracing aggressive environmental goals that reflect the values of Pasadena. Experience in both utilities is desirable but not required; however, the department's siz
