Molecular Genetics Laboratory Director - ARUP Laboratories

The Department of Pathology at the University of Utah and ARUP Laboratories is seeking applicants with the skills and interests to develop a strong academic career focused on molecular genetics. The successful applicant will have experience in molecular genetics laboratory testing, clinical assay development and validation, quality control and quality assurance, interpretation of laboratory test results, and consultation with physicians and other health care providers.
Applicants require a MD, MD/PhD, or PhD degree. Candidates should be ABMGG board-certified or eligible in Molecular Genetics or Laboratory Genetics and Genomics; or Molecular Genetics Pathology (with experiences in inherited disease). The successful candidate will have clinical and administrative responsibilities in the Molecular Genetics Division of ARUP Laboratories and he/she will be expected to contribute to our research and teaching mission. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience and accomplishment.
