This is a 9-month academic appointment with a normal teaching load is nine hours (the equivalent of 3 courses per semester) or 12 hours per week (the equivalent of 4 courses per semester) depending on qualifications and responsibilities. Duties include teaching face-to-face and/or distance program, maintaining an active research program targeting Finance and Management Science journals (if on a reduced teaching load), and making service contributions to the department, college, university, community, and profession.

The Carson College of Business (CCB) enrolls 2,200 undergraduate students and houses the US News and World Report 13th ranked online MBA in the country, which enrolls over 700 students. Candidates for this position must possess, at minimum, an MBA or master’s degree in an operations management- or analytics-related field by the employment start date. It is preferred, but not required, that the candidate possess a Ph.D. in Analytics, Operations Management, or a closely related field from a nationally or internationally recognized university by the employment start date.
