The Francis College of Engineering is searching for an outstanding candidate for a tenure-track, tenured, Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in Biomedical Engineering. The college includes 130 faculty members, 30% of whom are women, and has over 3,000 undergraduate and 1,000 graduate students. The University is located in the historic industrial city of Lowell, Massachusetts and serves the multicultural population of the Commonwealth. The College has been nationally recognized for its commitment to diversity by the American Society for Engineering Education.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have earned a doctoral degree in Biomedical Engineering, or closely related discipline.
For this tenure-track position in Biomedical Engineering, we seek a candidate with research strengths in but not limited to:
Medical devices with a priority on those working at the interface of engineering innovations and clinical translation (e.g., sensor development, wearables).
Medical imaging, biomedical optics and biophotonics, microscopy, and/or sensor development.
Biomechanics.
Candidates with experience in engineering education and design of effective and inclusive pedagogical approaches will be given strong consideration.
