The qualified candidate will control the quality of products produced, ensuring Quality Plans are available for each part being produced, implementing production gauging methods. Coordinate/perform inspection of incoming polymer materials, perform process capability studies and provide statistical analysis for process improvement. Additionally, this role will require coordination and testing of materials while supervising Quality Auditors that report directly to this position. Ensuring all test equipment is capable while interfacing daily with Quality Auditors and Material Analysts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate and perform in-process and finished product testing
Ensure accuracy of test methods and results
Oversee finished product quality assessment
Coordinate and perform training for Quality department personnel
Coordinate and direct several Quality Auditors
Direct and schedule Quality Auditors on a 24/7 basis
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001
Prefer 4-year college degree
2-year Associate degree required in combination with experience listed below
Minimum 5 years previous Quality department experience
Minimum 2 years previous experience as a Quality Lead and/or Supervisor
Must be able to work independently and be able to prioritize multiple projects
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Computer literate at intermediate level (email, spreadsheet, work processing, databases, E1 software)
Ability to be standing and walking for 12 hours continuously
