About the role We are looking for a Principal Advisor Infrastructure to join the site based team. In this role, you will be accountable for delivering the commercial and technical infrastructure strategy for the project, working closely with utility providers, other site teams including Technical, Permitting, Operations and Construction teams to develop a world class asset. You will be responsible for leading the technical and commercial infrastructure strategy development and studies in water, power, product transportation and logistics and general site infrastructure (roads, buildings, services etc.) to deliver on the business objectives. Where you will be working As part of Rio Tinto’s Copper product group; Copper Projects manages the planning, development and technological aspects of major global copper projects. The group collaborates with the Rio Tinto Technology and Innovation group to focus on applications of innovative technologies including block caving, automation, flash converter smelting and sulphide leaching. With exploration indicating one of the largest copper resources ever found in North America, and possibly worldwide; the Resolution Project stands to be a premier copper mine. Located three miles east of Superior, Arizona, the copper ore will be mined using panel caving - a subset of block caving.
