Job Summary: Teach courses in manufacturing to include but not limited to: Simulation, ergonomics, product manufacturing, machining processes, electronics, advanced robotics courses, and able to teach core courses, to support the Construction and Technology Education curricula.
Principle Responsibilities: Assist in advising manufacturing technology majors, SME and/or ATMAE student chapters and pursue professional activities within and outside the university.
Required Skills: The successful candidate will create innovative instructional materials and project based experiences, develop funding and projects with industry, establish a record of scholarly activity and contribute to program assessment and accreditation activities. Opportunities for research collaboration are prevalent across the University. Position requires a high- degree of technical expertise and teaching and/or industrial experience in manufacturing applications and processes, industry simulations and machine processes. Demonstrated teaching excellence in the classroom, a record of professional conference presentations and publications, experience working with academic competition teams in robotics or sustainability. Work with student and alumni groups is highly valued.
Terminal degree or ABD in engineering technologies, manufacturing engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, technology education, or related field.
Position requires high level of technical expertise, with teaching and/or industrial experience involving robotics, electronics, manufacturing processes, or manufacturing management.
Master's degree will be considered.
Doctorate in engineering technologies, manufacturing engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, technology education, or related field.
Industrial experience in manufacturing or teaching experience in industrial technology settings.
