Under the general direction of the Director of Quality, this person is responsible for insuring that all incoming and outgoing product conforms to quality assurance standards and that customer complaints are handled appropriately. This person will prepare monthly reports and analyses, perform internal audits, and create Free Trade Agreement Documentation. This position is also responsible for assisting in establishing, maintaining, and auditing the Quality Systems of Lapp NA Subsidiaries with a focus towards customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities – include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Creates and maintains inspection reports and completes inspection of materials as required toward all in-process and finished product.
Implement projects for the improvement of product and process quality.
Performs internal audits and monitors the implementation of corrective actions.
Responsible for the handling of all internal complaints as well as complaints related to customers/suppliers. Prepares monthly analysis, reports and process performance charts based on findings. Follows up on recommendations for improvement.
Conducts supplier audits as required.
Utilize Lotus Notes database for the maintenance of NCMR, calibration, CAR and VCAR
Maintains NAFTA Database.
Maintain calibration records in accordance to ISO standards.
Review and make modifications & improvements to procedures and work instructions, while assisting cross-functional departments.
Works to maintain all Corporate Quality Policies and Procedures.
Implementation of QMS ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015 and ISO45001:2015.
Performs 2007P and 2007S audits, as required to maintain approved suppliers.
Works in coordination with the Director of Quality to prepare and conduct quality trainings.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college; or two to four years quality related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven knowledge of ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015 and ISO45001:2015.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
Certification in Quality; CQA, CQI or CQT is preferred.
Domestic and International travel is required. 10-15%.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Fluency in the English language, written and spoken is required.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Skills and experience in the application of modern quality tools (FMEA, statistical methods, Poka Yoke etc.)
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Proven skills and experience in problem solving methods (root cause analysis, corrective action, preventive action, 8D method, PDCA, 5 Why, …)
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Lotus Notes, AS400, and NAFTA database software; SAP software; and be proficient in the use of Excel and Microsoft Word software for the use in creation of metric and maintenance of documents.
