Georg Fischer (GF) is looking for a Sales Engineer to join their dynamic and innovative team! As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for managing and executing the promotion of GF piping systems within your region. By leveraging your superior customer service abilities, your experience and technical know-how, you will continue to foster and build positive connections with engineers, contractors, and plumbing code officials. This position involves regular travel within the U.S.
Principle Responsibilities: •Execute GF sales strategies based on engineering expertise to support the US Sales Team to meet annual sales and growth objectives
•Create brand awareness in new markets and analyze new business opportunities.
•Promote GF piping systems and associated products with design engineers and incorporate these into corporate and project specifications.
•Create education, training and technical materials for GF piping systems.
•Provide representatives and distributors with training, guidance, and assistance concerning the piping market, how to obtain favorable project specifications and increase sales opportunities for GF products.
•Provide formal and informal technical education and on-site training to Consulting Engineers, Municipal Engineers, Contractors and Distributors regarding GF products.
•Review product complaints and co-ordinate analysis and response.
•Interact with internal departments, such as Customer Service, Legal, Marketing, R&D and Operations regarding pricing, training, product manufacturing, literature, litigation, product enhancements, and product design.
•University Degree (preferably in Mechanical Engineering)
•P.E. or EIT (preferred, but not mandatory)
•5 – 7 years’ experience in technical sales and marketing
•Experience with potable water and/ or piping systems including hydraulic theory and design
•Able to consult, negotiate, analyze and develop appropriate solutions for customer needs.
•Experience in developing product standards (preferred, but not mandatory)
•Excellent communication and presentation skills. Must be able to communicate technical information clearly to all audiences.
•Able to work independently
•Ability for frequent overnight travel within the US (approximately 50-60%).
