Engineering Coordinator – Program Management, Wastewater Treatment

Immediate full time opening for an Engineering Coordinator to serve as RK&K’s point-of-contact with client for successful delivery of Program Management Services for municipal wastewater treatment engineering assignments, including planning, evaluations, studies, designs, construction administration and inspection, and process optimization.
Will serve as a coordinator between the client and RK&K’s engineering team. Duties will focus on performing the administrative aspects of managing engineering projects in a teaming relationship with RK&K’s project engineer who will focus on the technical aspects of the assignment and have overall responsibility for the assignment. The Engineering Coordinator must be an effective communicator and will be the daily point-of-contact with the client. The Engineering Coordinator must be highly organized and responsive in documenting and monitoring all project activities including client project goals, budgets and schedules; preparing meeting agendas and summaries; tracking RK&K’s expenditures; tracking permitting activities; and, preparing and submitting monthly invoices and progress reports. The Engineering Coordinator will routinely communicate the client’s needs to RK&K’s project engineer and also the status of RK&K’s progress on an assignment to the client.
Required Skills and Experience
Must be knowledgeable and conversant in the technical aspects of municipal wastewater treatment and associated support systems from work experience gained in the private or public sectors through one or more of the following means:
Program management services
Engineer in a public agency
Wastewater treatment plant Manager or Superintendent
It is expected the Engineering Coordinator will have approximately 10 years, or more, experience in one or more of the above areas.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience with executing projects and Program Management for planning, design and construction phases of wastewater treatment projects a plus.
Licensed as a professional engineer or wastewater treatment plant operator a plus.
