This role of Project Manager (Land Development) will be responsible for the overall management of Land Development project(s). The successful candidate will be accountable for project performance, ensuring quality control on deliverables, and maintaining strong client relationships through quality deliverables and professional service. Additionally, this role will provide direction and guidance to engineers and technicians assigned to the project managers team. This role reports to the Land Development Practice Leader.
Coordinate all aspects of project life cycle, including: clients/owners, design teams, internal staff and all other necessary resources.
Prepare and manage project schedules and budgets.
Set up accounting and budget tracking for new projects.
Perform Quality Assurance and Quality Control for project deliverables.
Prepare project billing/invoices and follow up with clients to ensure timely receipt of payment.
Provide direction to technical staff on project issues and general engineering principles including Project Engineers, EIT’s and Designers.
Actively participate in the career development of staff.
Represent the Company at industry events and conferences.
Participate in new project interviews.
Participate in the execution of Company strategic initiatives.
Prepare and negotiate scopes of work, schedules and fee proposals.
Evaluate company practices and processes to provide input for continuous improvement.

This candidate will also have proven negotiating skills with the ability to successfully negotiate acceptable contracts, effectively communicate to all levels of the project team including technicians, engineers, sub-consultants, and clients.
Education and Experience:
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree Civil Engineering, from an accredited college.
Must be registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Colorado OR be able to obtain a Colorado PE license within 6 months of employment.
Minimum 10 years of experience in Land Development.
Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience.
