The Quality Assurance Manager directs and coordinates the Quality Assurance department resources and administrative approach for quality control of BNI products. The manager provides leadership, planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of our quality system and team to ensure high quality in BNI products and processes, as well as provides technical, process, and program support to our various departments, suppliers, and customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead, analyze, report and provide corrective action to integrate and ensure quality in the company, its programs, products, and culture to enhance long term viability of the organization.
Build and manage resources, processes, systems, and controls to effectively execute the quality function.
Develop, lead, and manage a high performing team to maximize customer satisfaction.
Provide effective communication and reporting to ensure all stakeholders are working together.
Directly supervises employees in the Quality Department; carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; developing employees’ skills and encouraging growth; setting expectations and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; establishing positive employee relationships through fair, consistent, and respectful treatment of employees.
To qualify for this position, an individual must possess the knowledge, training, experience and abilities required.
Education and Training:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline; or six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Seven years’ experience in quality engineering or quality assurance with a minimum of two years management experience.
Three years’ experience with recognized quality systems (ISO, AS, QS, TS)
Three years’ experience in a complex metal manufacturing environment – aerospace environment preferable.
Must be willing to work overtime as required.
Travel up to 20% of working time.
Desired Job Qualification:
Applicable training certificates (CQE, CQA, RAB) are desirable
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Must be able to work in the U.S without sponsorship. Due to government contracts, ability to obtain US government security clearance is required.
