The Engineering Technician provides technical assistance to field and office engineering functions by designing basic plans, collecting data, preparing plans and maps by both manual and computerized drafting methods (AutoCAD, ArcMap (GIS), Adobe Acrobat Professional), processing permits and work orders, maintaining records, advising the public and performing other related work as assigned.
The eligible list resulting from this recruitment will be used for the current vacant position in the Public Works Department and future full-time, part-time regular or temporary positions in either the Public Works Department or Water Department. *Plus excellent health benefits and PERS retirement!
