Located on California’s beautiful Central Coast, 15 miles south of the City of San Luis Obispo, SSLOCSD encompasses a geographic area of 165 square miles and provides services for the residents of the City of Arroyo Grande, the City of Grover Beach and the Oceano Community Services District.
In addition to collection and treatment services, the District also provides source control programs and inspection services that include an Industrial/Commercial Pretreatment Program and a Fats, Oils and Grease (FOG) Control Program. The District is supported by 9 staff and a budget of approximately $3 million.
Appointed by and serving at the pleasure of the Board of Directors, the District Administrator is responsible for enforcement of all District ordinances, policies, and procedures, the conduct of all financial activities, and the efficient and economical performance of the District’s operations.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced manager with the ability to work collaboratively with the staff, Board of Directors and other local and regional stakeholders. A proven track record of sound fiscal, technical and personnel management is expected. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written are paramount. The successful candidate will be a working manager who empowers employees while holding them accountable.
