We are looking for a Quality Engineering Manager at our growing Camden, AR location. In this role, you will accomplish results through strategic planning and execution. Typical duties:
Manages direct and overhead budgets within agreed goals or limits. Responsible for hiring employees, setting goals and objectives, providing performance feedback, coaching, evaluations, and taking appropriate action as necessary based on results.
Provides daily job assignment and direction to direct reports.
Provides assistance in creating, implementing, and attaining established site, program, and organizational goals, and provide the required resources in resolving complex technical or operational challenges.
Develops, communicates and implements program quality plans that comply with contract requirements, quality management standards and command media.
Trains and ensures full compliance with policies and procedures related to drawing requirements, controlling of nonconforming material, cause and corrective action, first article inspection, engineering milestone reviews, risk management, AS9100 requirements, as well as other responsibilities in quality engineering and inspection.
Manages effectiveness along with participation and leadership in cause and corrective activities, failure investigations, metric creation & implementation and drives actions and accountability, and special projects to support program Corrective/Preventive Action Committees (CACs/PACs) and other management boards.
Works with customers in coordinating hardware acceptance reviews, customer participation in CACs/PACs and in developing regular meetings to communicate and resolve quality issues and concerns.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in a directly related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrate managerial skills, including the ability to plan, organize, coordinate, direct and control the activities of the assigned organization.
US Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (U.S. Citizenship required). Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
Quality Manufacturing background.
Understanding and experience with AS9100 Standards.
